Translation.

We have received from Mr. McLean this 28th day of August in the year of our Lord 1855. 28 August. 1855 the sum of Fifty Pounds (£50) as a payment for our claims to the land which was Tirikohua. sold by Haimona Te Rangiuere and others on the 11th day of August, in the year 1855. Claims of Ihaka and others. The boundaries of the land are contained in the Deed of Sale executed by the said Haimona and others; and on the receipt of the above named monies we have, agreed Receipt for £50. to sell certain new portions of land at Tirikohua to the Queen the boundaries of land we will hereafter point out and when the land has been surveyed then will the amount of the final payment be decided.
