Oscar Melling

Oscar, is an Arts student finishing B.A. this year. He was at Victoria and Training College in 1943 and 1944, and returned from overseas service at the end of last year. He is secretary of the Political Science Society, is on the Socialist Club Committee and is a member of "Salient" Staff. He is a keen member of the Tramping Club and took part in Extrav. this year. Oscar is a member of the retiring Exec.

Aiming at close co-operation between the Exec. and the student body as a whole, Oscar also wants to see the students here maintain close contact with students in the other university colleges, at Training College and with student and youth organisations overseas. Plans to hasten the building of the proposed new Student Union building have his full support. He intends to improve, wherever possible, present student facilities in the Gym, common rooms and the cafeteria.
