Vacancies in Flats after Finals

The Accommodation Officer, Mrs M. Brown, has written to other New Zealand universities offering to assist their students working in Wellington over the summer vacation to find temporary accommodation in student flats.

Victoria University students wishing to sublet their flats or requiring help in filling vacancies either on a temporary or permanent basis, should advise the Accommodation Officer of their requirements as soon as possible. Students from other universities planning to work in Wellington naturally want to finalise their accommodation well in advance of their arrival in Wellington; sometimes the acceptance of vacation work in Wellington depends on whether satisfactory digs can be arranged. Nearly all requests for accommodation ask for a fiat in the central city area, close to the Railway Station and rent as cheap as possible so savings can be made from vacation earnings.
