The Cyclopedia of New Zealand [Auckland Provincial District]

The Law Library

The Law Library for the use of the members of the legal profession in Auckland faces Waterloo Quadrant and Parliament Street, and forms part of the Supreme Court buildings. The librarian is Mr. H. T. Maclean, and the following gentlemen form the Council of the Law Society of the district of Auckland: Mr. Hugh Campbell, president; Mr. F. Earl, vice-president; and Messrs C. E. Button, S. Hesketh, F. E. Baume. J. R. Reed, T. Cotter, C. J. Parr, and Dr. Laishley. Mr. C. E. S. Gillies is treasurer, and Mr. J. W. Stewart is auditor of the society. Messrs Hugh Campbell and C. E. Button are the members of the Council of the New Zealand Law Society, elected to represent the northern district. Mr. W. Cooper is law reporter, and Messrs C. E. Button and H. Campbell are members of the Council for law reporting for the district of Auckland.
