The Founders of Canterbury
Reigate, Saturday morning
My Dear Wynter,
—If I were not going to London to meet Mr. G. and Lords L. and C. on the greater New Zealand question, I should have taken the enclosed to you, though I trust you will be induced to give Jackson this help without persuasion from me.
I shall try to see you to-morrow afternoon, but send this now in order that you may write a line to Jackson by to-day's post, which by the new arrangements he will get on Monday morning.
Yours very truly,
E. G. Wakefield.
