My Dear Lord,
—After a four hours' discussion at the New Zealand House, the proposed alterations in the Terms of Purchase were unofficially adopted; and as Mr. Cox was present approving as we went along, and he took away a draft of the proposed new Terms, it is expected that the official sanction of Company and Government will be given on Monday, if not to-morrow.
