1. | That, until the number of persons in each Parish shall have been ascertained, it be left to the Bishop to determine the number of Synodsmen to be returned to the Synod, and also the number of Synodsmen to be elected by each Parish. |
2. | That the month of December be the time for the election of Synodsmen by the several Parishes. |
3. | That the Returning Officers be appointed by the Bishop, and that they have power to appoint Deputy Returning Officers. |
4. | Every voting paper for the election of Synodsmen shall contain a declaration, that the voter is a member of the Church of England and Ireland in New Zealand. A single voting paper may contain the votes of one or more voters. |
5. | That the Returning Officer shall give notice to the Chnrch members in his District of the time for the election of Synodsmen; such notice to be issued by him some time between the 10th day of November and the 10th day of December. |
6. | That no voting paper shall be received by the Returning Officer or his Deputy after the 31st day of December. |
7. | Immediately upon the election of a Synodsman for any Parish, the Returning Officer shall notify the same in writing to the Bishop; and the voting papers shall be delivered to the Bishop by the Synodsmen at the time of the Meeting of the Synod. |
