Note 1.

Where the terminal date of an appointment is not known it has been assumed that the officer held this appointment until it was abolished in the course of the disbandment of 2 NZEF.

Note 2.

In some cases the official title of an appointment was changed at various periods, and duties were rearranged from time to time.

Note 3.

Until about September 1940, 2 NZEF duties were carried out by the appropriate member of the staff of the New Zealand Division.
