Have just completed a tour of the Treasury positions. Most of the enemy are now eliminated, but there have been some desperate assaults on our positions by enemy detachments in endeavours to get food or to capture boats to escape.page 415
The 8th Brigade has done extremely well and the troops are in good heart despite very trying conditions.
Total New Zealand casualties to date: 30 killed, 6 died of wounds, 108 wounded, 10 slightly wounded remaining with unit.
Do not anticipate many more casualties.
