Who commanded the W.M.R. from 8th August, 1914, till 27th April, 1917, when he assumed command of the N.Z.M.R. Brigade till the end of the campaign. He had previously temporarily commanded the N.Z.M.R. Brigade prior to and during the Evacuation, and also the 2nd Australian Light Horse Brigade in the battles immediately following Romani.
