Nov. 26 Depart Wellington on T.E.V. Maori, arrive R.N.Z.A.F. Wigram 0900 27th.
Nov. 29 Report Harewood 0800, arrive Williams Field 1800, Scott Base 1930 hours.
Dec. 3 Reconnaissance flight in Hercules to Boomerang Range and Taylor Glacier via Byrd Station.
Dec. 4 Reconnaissance of Taylor Valley with two hour stopover in Upper Taylor while dumps emplaced on Taylor Glacier.

As it was felt that a central location was probably most practical it was decided to dump all gear and stores at a base-camp half way up the eastern shore of Lake Fryxell.

While at Scott Base duties consisted mainly of checking equipment, and checking, painting and filling fuel and kerosene cans for the Boomerang Range and Dry Valleys parties; and one day general duties (ice party, shovelling snow, etc.).

Dec. 6 Flown to Taylor Valley by helicopter at 1300 hrs.
Dec. 23 Shifted to Vanda Station 1400 hrs.
Jan. 7 Picked up by helicopter at Wright Lower Glacier and returned to Scott Base at 1100 hrs.
Jan. 8 Left Scott Base 0700 hrs, arrived Christchurch 1600, Wellington 1930 hrs.
