The Spike or Victoria College Review 1936

[untitled poem]

Whenever, now, I see a rose
I hear light notes of laughter trilling
And through my heart its echo goes
Whenever now, I see a rose.
You waked the blossom from repose
With all its scents the garden filling,
Whenever now I see a rose
Softly I hear your laughter trilling.
