"Spike" — Photographic Competition

Photographic Competition

Conditions of the Spike Photographic Competition have now been arranged as follows:—

1.—Entrants must be financial members of the V.U.C. Students' Association.
2.—The competition is entirely open, any photographic subject being acceptable.
3.—The photographs submitted must be TAKEN by the entrant, the processing need not be done by the entrant.
4.—Any size phogoraph is acceptable, but needless to say, enlargements are easier to judge and naturally receive more consideration. Mounting is optional.
5.—Any number of photographs may be submitted by each entrant.
6.—The photographs will be judged primarily from an artistic viewpoint, but correct photographic technique will also be a major consideration.
7.—Entries Close Saturday, August 1st.

Mr. E. T. Robson has consented to act as judge of the competition, and the Photographic Club hope to be able to arrange for him to address the Club after the close of the competition, giving his criticism of the entries received. This should prove most valuable.

Remember how the attractiveness of last year's Spike was enhanced by the photographs published! Time is short, but not too short to ensure that the photographic section of Spike will be even better this year if YOU give your help by sending in an entry.
