Routine Business at First Exec. Meeting

Senate Approached Re New Exam. Location

There are haavy duties attached to most honorary positions and membership of the Executive is no exception as was found by the "Smad" reporter sent to cover the first meeting of the new Exec. He went there expecting to spend an interesting evening, but instead was thourughly bored long before the end of the meeting, and as for the poor Exec. members, their life is not all beer and skittles and they deserve any credit they may get in the difficult job they have taken on. "Smad" was astounded by the wide range of business treated and realised as never before the multitude of details that must be attended to ensure the smooth running of student life at V.U.C.

The main topic under discussion was the sitting of exams. in the Winter Show Buildings which have been cursed by generations of examination slaves. The Exec. has informed the Registrar of the New Zealand University that the Winter Show Buildings are entirely unsuited as an exam. room and a resolution that the November exams. be held in certain alternative halls has been sent to the N.Z.U. for consideration at the next meeting of the Senate. If necessary, a deputation will be sent to emphasise the evil conditions under which exam. slaves of Wellington have to toil.

After teams of bills and correspondence had been waded through, the meeting rose at 11.30 p.m. after a session of session of over three hours.
