Haeremai Club's Meeting
Haeremai Club's Meeting
The annual meeting of the Haeremai Club was held last Monday night and was remarkable for its aimless and useless arguments. Mr. Keating was in the chair; the Secretary was absent however, but he kindly came along too late for any bsiness-stillhe did come.
The Acting Secretary read the report in which he mentioned that the year had been most satisfactory, particularly the work done at Dunedin. The treasurer, having read the balance sheet, assured us of the sound financial position of the club-there being just enough money in the bank to keep the account open. The following officers were elected for the coming year. President, Mr. Mason (in spite of a most modest speech about his past work); Hon. Secretary, Mr. Horsley; Hon. Treasurer, Mr. Jack; the Committee consists of Messrs. Watts, Keating, Te Punga and Tosswill.
