The Winning Team.

The following comprised the V.U.C. team:—W. M. Willis (capt.), R. J. Nankervis, R. J. Larkin, K Tahiwi, J. N. Sellers, and R. Hall No. 1 man was R. J. Nankervis, who made a false start, which he still maintains was the quickest swallow of all. The order of finishing was: V.U.C. 1, O.U. 2, C.U.C. 3.

Won by a quarter of a handle. V.U.C. has been authorised by Blelliot (O.U.) to officially use his well known saying:

"What goes round barrels? (W)hoops, boys, (W)hoops!"
