1839. 15 October.Wahi tapu described.We the undersigned certify that we were present at the Horake before Mr. Matthew Mariner when R. H. Bullen was called on by Mr. M. Mariner to give evidence as Witness to a Taboo'd Deed signed by Whatia and Pero dated February 2nd 1836 to Thomas McDonald Esqr.—said that the Taboo'd land upon the left bank of the Hokianga extended from Matawera to a creek in the adjoining Bay known by the name of the Kahikatoa and no further.
