Translation.

1839. 22 November.Know all men by these presents that we the undersigned Native Chiefs of Rallamatta, Oparera No. 2. Doubtless Bay New Zealand do sell let and make over unto William Murphy of W. Murphy. Monganui New Zealand all rights titles and interest to all land and timber known by [300 acres.] the name of the Pa Corrafew and bounded in front by Oparera, sides and back according to land marks and all the bush land.

Be it further understood and to prevent all disputes and misunderstanding hereafter that we for ourselves Heirs and Successors do let sell and make over all rights titles and interest to all the bush land and timber as above described.

Receipt. We the undersigned Native Chiefs do acknowledge to have received of William Murphy of Mongonui New. Zealand, 3 prs. Blankets 4 Shirts and 4 pairs Trousers, as full and just payment for the bush land and timber as above described, to be held by William Murphy his heirs and successors for ever without let or hinderance from us our heirs and successors for ever. In Witness whereof we set our-hand and seals this 22nd of November 1839.
