10th August, 1860.Note.—The price per acre cannot be deducted from these returns, as very many of the payments are on on account of blocks of land purchased prior to 30th June, 1856, and many payments are instalments on account of blocks, the survey of which in some instances has not been completed, or the purchase money fixed; in each of these cases the sums paid are not correctly represented by the acreage standing against them.
