This1862. 15 May.Ruahine. is an agreement of mine truly to give up the land occupied by Mr. Northwood at Pourerere to the Government of New Zealand for ever—All the land at Pouerere,(Northwood's homestead.) extending to Tuingara Tuapingau, thence to Wairau ascending to Kakahoroa, thence toBoundaries. Paritatau thence toTaumatakainga-paoa, Huanui, Kupenga, and joining at Pourerere.
This is the final disposal of this land for ever, I will not again make any demandReceipt for £280. for this land for the future. And in consideration of the final cession of this land this day the 15th May 1862 we have received the sum of Two hundred and eighty pounds (£280 . 0 . 0).
