Ko Tawhitirahi na Maihi ko Kopura nui no Maraea ko Te Papa me Te Puhingerengere na Horopeta no te rironga mai o enei money ka whakaae ahau mo matou Receipt for £40, advance. katoa ki te rironga o enei whenua tino oti atu ki Te Kawanatanga kaore a matou tikanga kupu ranei e hoki ki runga ki enei whenua ko taku whakaaetanga tenei ki nga ritenga o tenei pukapuka mo matou katoa ka tuhituhi nei toku ingoa.

1862. 14 June.Kopuranui, &c. I have received this day the sum of Forty pounds (£40) paid to me by G. W. Drummond Receipt for £40, advance. Hay this money being a payment on account of lands already sold to the Government, being the undermentioned blocks—

• Tawhitirahi sold by Maihi.
• Kopura nui sold by Maraea.
• Te Papa and Te Puhingerengere sold by Horopeta.

in consideration of this money I surrender on my own part and for all of us all claim whatever to these lands now finally ceded to the Government.
