Translation.

This is an Agreement made between us two and Mr. McLean Chief Land Purchase 1855. 7 August. Titi. Commissioner of the Government of New Zealand for this land named Titi being all that portion of land which was perambulated by Paora Te Iwi and his followers by the Surveyors and Mr. White. The sum of Twenty pound £20 . 0 . 0 has been paid to us Receipt for £20, first instalment. by Mr. McLean on this seventh (7) day of August in the year 1855. The final arrangements respecting this place will be made when the boundaries have been laid off by the Surveyor.
