Translation.

I have received from Mr. McLean the sum of one hundred pounds in money, as a final 1854. 11 July. payment for our land, for Orakei, which we have conclusively sold to Victoria the Queen Orakei. of England, and to all the Kings or Queens Her successors for ever. And in witness of Te Hira’s claims. page 736our entire abandonment of this land, and of the payment to us of the final payment for this land, for Orakei, I have hereto subscribed my name and mark on this day on Reeeipt for £100. the eleventh of the days of July in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty four.
