Translation

Translation.

Received from Mr McLean, the sum of Fifty pounds (£50) as payment for a portion land. These are the boundaries—Commencing at the boundary of that portion which has been sold to the Queen, thence to Rapangauira, thence to the boundary (line) Boundaries. surveyed by Mr. White, and Anaru Hinikare (Mr. Andrew Sinclair) and thence to Orakei.

We hereby agree to convey this portion of our land, with our free will, and consent, this day, unto Victoria Queen of England, her successors and assigns for ever.

We further acknowledge to having received the above mentioned sum on this 8th Receipt for £50. day of July 1854.
