Translation.

1855. 22 January.Received by us from Mr. Johnson a Commissioner for the purchase of Land for the Government of New Zealand the sum of £200 Two hundred pounds this being the Mahurangi District. sum agreed to as the last instalment for Wainui being land sold by us to the Queen and Her Heirs and successors for ever in the Deed as written and executed at Wainui. Mahurangi on the 22nd day of June in the year of our Lord 1854, We have received Receipt for £200, final instalment. the sum of (£200) Two hundred pounds from Mr. Johnson on this day the 22nd of January in the year of our Lord 1855, hence our giving up and making over to the Queen of England and Her Heirs and successors after her for ever the block of Wainui, the boundaries are as per Deed of the payment of the first instalment, in token whereof we hereunto sign our names.
