1863 February.Bay of Islands District. Kua riro mai i au na te Rokena nga pauna moni kotahi tekau takitahi. Na te Kawanatanga tenei moni mo taku whakarerenga rawatanga atu i toku whenua ki te Kerikeri ko Okura Okura. te ingoa o taua whenua, kua oti atu e au kia te Kawanatanga ake tonu atu. Receipt for £10.

Translation.

1863 February I have received from Mr. Rogan ten pounds sterling this is Government money and is given me in consideration of my giving up my land at Kerikeri it is called Okura, I Okura. Receipt for £10. have given it up to the Government for ever and ever.
