Ka oti inaianei te homai ki a matou e Te Henare Kepa—Kai hook whenua mo te 1859. 7 September. Mangonui District. Kuini E toru tekau pauna ma toru £33 ko te toenga o nga utu mo to matou pihi Ohinu. Receipt for £33, last instalment. whenua mo "Ohinu," huihuia ki nga mea i riro mai i a Te Waiti ka kotahi Rau pauna mutu £100.
Ko nga kaha koia enei. Ko te whenua o te Mete kei tehahi taha—Ko to te Poari Boundaries. —Ko to te Matiu—Ko to te Paki—Ko te whenua o Te Komiti (Church Missionary Society) ko te wai o Ohinu tae noa ki tona otinga. Otira kei te pukapuka o te ruritanga te tino tikanga o te kaha—kei te Mapi e apiti nei.

A ka oti tenei whenua te hoko atu e matou te tino tuku whakaoti atu e matou ki a Victoria ki te Kuini ki ona muringa hoki ake tonu atu, a, ko te tohu tenei, ka oti nei o matou ingoa me o matou tohu te panga ki roto o tenei pukapuka i roto i te tau o to tatou Ariki Kotahi mano, e waru rau, e rima tekau ma iwa 1859.

Translation.

Mangonui, 7th September, 1859
We have received from H. T. Kemp, Dist. Commissioner on behalf of Her Majesty 1859 7 September. Ohinu. the Queen, the sum of Thirty three pounds sterlg. £33 being the balance as payment Receipt for £33, last instalment. for our piece of land called "Ohinu" added to what has already been given to us by Mr. White the whole sum is One hundred pounds sterlg. (£100.)
The Boundaries are these,—Mr. John Smith’s line on one side,—the lines of Messrs. Boundaries. Ford, Matthews, and Puckey, on the other side—the land belonging to the Church Mission, and the stream called Ohinu to where it finishes; The Map of the survey will show exactly the boundary lines, viz., the plan to this Deed annexed;

And We have entirely without reserve, sold and made over this Land to Victoria the Queen, and to Her Successors for ever and ever; and this is the token, We have page 716hereunto affixed our names and marks to this Deed, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine 1859.
