Auckland,
August 1, 1862
1862 1 August. We acknowledge to have received the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds once
told Mareretu. as the money of the Government given to us by Mr. Rogan. This money is an
advance Receipt for £150, advance. on Mareretu in the District of Kaipara. This money will be returned by us to
the Government when that land has been surveyed.
