Translation.
1854. 5 May.We Haimona and his family have received the sum of Twenty five
Pounds £25, being the final instalment for Maunuotu and te Tomotomo and on to the
boundary of Whaingaroa District Tutaenui. We now consent to give up for ever this land with its timber
streams minerals and all thereunto belonging to Queen Victoria in consideration of
the sum of Maunuotu, &c. Twenty five Pounds paid to us by Mr. Johnson on this 5th day of May in the
Year of Receipt for £25, final instalment Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty four 1854.
In testimony whereof we hereunto affix our names and marks this same fifth 5th day
of May 1854.
