Translation.
1854. 26 July.We have received from Mr. McLean the sum of Fifty pounds (£50)
once told, as a Lower Waikato District payment for our land at Parekakariki The boundary commences at Arakaikaeo,
thence to Tarutaru, thence to Koihu, thence inland to Matarua, thence to
Ngapuketuarua, thence to Whangamarino, Kaipeke, Te Hioi, and on to the outer
boundary of Meremere, Parekakariki. thence to the boundary of Rangitoea—the inner boundary Takingawairua—and on
to Receipt for £50, first instalment Matarua. When the land has been surveyed, the final amount of payment will
be agreed upon. Upon the receipt of these monies on this 26th day of June, 1854.
