1848. 21 June.Manukau District.This Deed written on the 21st day of June 1848 is an Agreement between me a Chief of the Ngatiteata and the Queen of England on her own behalf whereby I a Chief of the Ngatiteata the owner of the land described in this Deed agree to sell this land called Kokoreka to Queen Victoria in consideration of the sum of Twenty five pounds Sterling Kokoreka. now paid to me on which account I give and deliver over to Queen Victoria of England and to Her Successors for ever the before mentioned land with all thereto belonging, its boundaries are as follows, Commencing at Kaitara it goes in a straight line to Waimatuku Boundaries. on the West the boundary is the Sea as far as Taiaruru the Southern boundary goes in a straight line to Ruwaimoko and ends, the boundary on the East is Matakawau is Kokoreka and (continues with) the Sea of Manukau, the Plan of this lahd is described on the other side of this Deed.
