Translation.

We the undersigned hereby agree to give make over and sell to Victoria the Queen of 1856. 17 March.Manukau District. England and the Kings and Queens who shall succeed Her to be retained for ever, Titi. our land Titi which is surrounded by a large block of land purchased at Waiuku. We consent to this land being given up with all things that may be on the surface or in the bowels thereof, nor will we be so regardless (of what is right) as to demand a payment hereafter for Titi; nor will accede or sanction the claims of any other parties, Titi being our own land, we therefore without any reservation fully give up Titi for ever with all woods and all other appurtenances to Victoria the Queen of England and the Kings and Queens who shall succeed Her, in consideration of £130 which we Receipt for £130. now receive from the hands of Mr. McLean the principal land Commissioner. The boundaries of this land are as follows. Bounded on the East by land purchased by the Boundaries. Queen named Kapuamehameha and Te Tikitoki on the West by land named Raukauere page 338belonging to the Queen, on the South by land belonging to the Queen named Pawhau and Tapuakaroro and on the North by land belonging to the Queen named Waihomu and Pukemiro. Now because we truly consent (to the contents of this paper) we affix our names and marks on his seventeenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Fifty six.
