Translation

Translation.

This Deed entered into on the eighteenth day of July in the year One thousand eight hundred and fifty three the consenting of the Chiefs signing below the owners of the 1853. 18 July.Ngarurunui. Land described in this Deed do agree to sell this Land to Queen Victoria for the sum of One hundred pounds given now into our hands for this we give and let to Victoria Queen of England and Her Heirs for ever this Land and all thereto belonging, the boundaries are these, on the West by the line of Rama Rama and on to the hole dug Boundaries. by Ihaka turning and on to the ridge turning to the North on into the Forest until it Joins the boundary of Waihoehoe.
