This Deed written on the seventh of September 1848 is an agreement between us 1848. 7 September.Manukau District. Chiefs of Ngatiteata and the Queen of England on her own behalf Whereby we Chiefs of Ngatiteata the owners of the Land described in this Deed agree to sell this Land to Queen Victoria in consideration of two hundred pounds sterling now given to us Te Ngaio.
