This Deed made the Twenty first day of November One thousand eight hundred and seventy two Between Makarena te Waharoa and Rawiri Te Tahua both of Hokianga in Karuhiruhl. the Province of Auckland in the Colony of New Zealand Aboriginal natives of the one part and Her Majesty Queen Victoria of the other part Witnesseth that in consideration Receipt for £1,100. of the sum of Eleven Hundred Pounds paid by Her said Majesty The Queen to the said Makarena te Waharoa and Rawiri te Tahua (the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged) They the said Makarena te Waharoa and Rawiri Te Tahua do and each of them doth hereby convey and assure unto Her Majesty the Queen Her successors and assigns All that piece or parcel of land at Wirinaki in the District of Hokianga in the Province of Auckland aforesaid and called or known by the name of Karuhiruhi containing by Boundaries.
