1855 2 August.Bay Of Islands District.This Deed of sale or conveyance of land, made on this, the
second day of August in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and
fifty five, (1855), is a Deed, by Pukehuia. which we freely and truly consent, that is to say, We, the Chiefs and
members of the Tribe called "Te Urikapana," being the rightful owners of the
land, to convey and sell entirely, a portion of our land to Victoria the Queen
of England for ever and ever, for herself, and for the use of her people for
ever and ever; The principal names of this piece of land are "Pukehuia" and
"Te Waitapu," and is situated on the shores of the Bay of Islands;
