1875. 15 June.Mangonui District. This Deed made the fifteenth day of June 1875 Between Her Majesty Queen Victoria on the one part and Aporo Hura, Kapiriere te Huhu, Aperahama Mongero, Mereana Uhiroa No. I. Paraihe Himi te Kaka, Wiremu Tarapunga Hapakuku; Hetaraka Komene, Wata Paiaka, Hare Reweti, Kingi Hori te Kawau, Ritete Puiti, Te Waipouri, Poharama, Hori Hui, Taehaetini, Wiki te Ra, Taueru Takiora, Piri Wata, Pene Weta, Te Tahana Whitirua, Minarapa, Rewiri Hongi, Reihana Whitirua, Peri Paraihe, Wi te Take, Romana te Hautuauru, Riwini Ongeonge, Te Hura Whitirau, Hare Peka Wiremu Tana Papahia, Wi te Tiki, Wikiripi, Tahuwarau, Timotiu Te Ikahuka, Rea Poki and Raiha Tamaho of Ahipara and Hokianga aboriginal Natives of the Colony of New Zealand (hereinafter called the Vendors) of the other part Witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of eight hundred and forty two pounds four shillings and four pence (£842 - 4 - 4) by Her Majesty paid Receipt for £842 . 4 . 4. to the Vendors on the execution hereof (and the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged) the Vendors do and each of them doth hereby surrender convey and assure unto Her said Majesty all that block or parcel of land containing seven thousand two hundred and nineteen acres or thereabouts known or called Te Uhiroa as the same is more particularly described in the Schedule hereto and delineated on the plan drawn on this Deed and colored red, together with all rights and appurtenances thereto belonging or appertaining, To hold the said land and premises with the appurtenances unto Her said Majesty Her Heirs and Successors for ever, In witness whereof the Vendors have hereunto set their hands he day and year first above written.
