A Motive Force in Nature
A Motive Force in Nature
That is not Utilised By Man and
Is this Perpetual Motion that has been so long sought for?
I, who have taken the pen name of Torpedo," will guarantee to point out to any of the Governments of the World (or others, etc.), for
A Force that is Self-Acting. Self-Renewing as long as Machinery will last. A Force that is more potent than steam (the origin of the force I believe to be Electrical) and the only cost of driving it will be the lubricating oil that is necessary for machinery, and the wear and tear of the machinery itself. It is a force that will drive machinery of greater power than any that has yet been made by man and the result for good only depends upon the engineering application of the force.
I intended at first to give this force, among other suggestions, to the World in my First Edition of "Mystery," only I was told that the secret being revealed to others in the first copies of this book they would at once send to the different countries and have it protected, and so I should be robbed of what I am entitled to, and the world would not thank me. I may here say that there is now patented in England and America what I was really the Inventor of. It was suggested by me, others patented it, have got the name, and are receiving the benefit.
The above force is not an imaginary one. I can demonstrate that it exists, and have proved it; and when I make it known, one of the conditions must bo that they will acknowledge to the World that I was the Author of this force as applied to Machinery.
P.S.—Any Communications forwarded to Torpedo," Auckland, will receive my attention (my Address will be Registered at the Post Office).
