The Government Sanatorium, Rotorua, New Zealand.

Rotorua.—This wonderful district is unparalleled in the known world for the number and variety of its Thermal Springs. As a health resort its popularity is rapidly increasing, and that entirely on its own merits, as hitherto nothing has been done in the way of advertising.

Patients suffering from Chronic, Articular, and Muscular rheumatism, Gout, Rhumatie Gout, Skin Diseases, Sciatica, Lum-bago,' Neuralgia, Nervous Exhaustion, Uterine Ailments, and tardy convaloscense from acute diseases may rely upon obtaining immense relief, and in the majority of cases a complete cure.

The Priest's Hath.—This is strongly acid, aluminous, sulphur water, acting as a powerful skin stimulant. Hot and cold showers, and douches are provided and comfortably enclosed dressing rooms.

Madame Rachel's Bath.—This celebrated Spring is a Saline water with Silicates, and has an alkaline reaction. The water is also used internally for its beneficial action on the kidneys.

The Blue Bath.—This is the largest natural swimming bath in the Southern Hemisphere. It affords rheumatic invalids a means of taking painless exercise, which they highly appreciate.

The Sulphur Vapour Bath.—This is a natural hot vapour, highly charged with sulphur gases, conducted into a properly constructed chest, in which the the patient sits, while a stream of palpable sulphur is being constantly deposited on the skin.

The New Sulphur Bath.—This is a very streng acidic water of high temperature, and strongly recommonded in case's of rheumatism and allied diseases. The bath house is divided into Ladies and Getlemens departments and is capable of accommodating 400 bathers daily.

The Electrical Department,—This department is replete with the most modem appliances for carrying out various forms of medical electrical treatment in their entirety.

The Hydropathic Packing and Massage Department.—A series of rooms are furnished and set apart for each sex, in order to carry out this important adjunct to treatment. The services of qualified Masseuse and Masseur are obtainable.
