Sales and Purchases.

On Private or Public Sales, or Purchases of Merchandise, Colonial Produce, &c.	5 per cent.
On ditto of Ships, Land, Houses, Live Stock, Stations—For residents	2½ per cent.
On ditto Shares of Public Companies and Government Securities (on proceeds)	2½ per cent.
On ditto of Bills of Exchange (including remittance)	1 per cent.
On ditto of Gold, Gold Dust, Bullion, and Specie	1¼ per cent.
On all property withdrawn or delivered to order, half the rate chargeable in lease of sale	2½ per cent.
On Goods consigned for conditional delivery	2½ per cent.
On guaranteeing Sales, Bills, Bonds, &c., by endorsement or otherwise	2½ per cent.

Shipping Agency.

On procuring money on bottomry or respondentia	5 per cent.
On procuring charter on vessels	5 per cent.
On procuring vessels on charter	2½ per cent.
On procuring freight and passengers	5 per cent.
On collecting inward freight and charter money	5 per cent.
On ships' disbursements (including payments to captains while in port (when in funds)	2½ per cent.
On ships' disbursements (including payments to captains while in port when not in funds	5 per cent.
For entering vessels from Europe or elsewhere (Australian Colonies excepted)	£3 3 0
For clearing ditto	3 3 0
For entering or clearing in ballast, or without breaking bulk	1 11 6
For entering vessels from Australian Colonies	1 11 6

General Agency.

On investing money on mortgage security	2½ per cent.
On recovering debts, rents, and other accounts	5 per cent.
On investing money in Bank, Gas, and Insurance Stock, or in Government Securities	1 per cent.

On effecting insurance (on the amount insured)	0½ per cent.
On settling insurance losses, total or partial, and on procuring return premiums on void interest (on amount recovered)	5 per cent.

Miscellaneous.
