Chapter XVI.—The Value and Tenure of Scholarships.

I.There shall be scholarships of two kinds, to be called Junior and Senior Scholarships respectively.
II.The Junior Scholarships shall be of the annual value of £45. The Senior Scholarships shall be of an annual value to be fixed each year by the Senate at its annual meeting.
III.The number of Senior Scholarships to be awarded each year shall be six. The number of Junior Scholarships to be awarded each year shall be fixed by the Senate at the annual meeting previously to the examination for such scholarships,
IV.Any junior scholar who may become entitled to the benefit of a Senior Scholarship shall thereby vacate his Junior Scholarship, and no scholar shall in any case receive the emoluments of more than one Scholarship at the same time.
