Not to affect Gold Fields.

2. Nothing herein contained shall be construed or held to affect any part of the Province of Otago which is within any proclaimed Gold Field or subject to the "Gold Fields Act 1862" or the "Gold Fields Act Amendment Act 1863" or "The Gold Fields Act Amendment Act 1865" or to persons residing in or upon any such Gold Field but all such Gold Fields shall be excluded from the operation hereof.
