XXXIV.—Construction of Rules.
1. In the construction of these Rules, unless there be something
in the subject or context repugnant to such construction every word importing the singular number only shall mean and include several persons and things as well as one person or thing and the converse, and every word importing the masculine gender shall mean and include a female as well as a male, and the words month and monthly shall mean a calendar and not lunar month.
