He was committee man for the French and Literary Club, in on the committee of the Rowing and Law Faculty Clubs. Capping Procession Committee 1948, 1949. During his term of office on the Executive his interest has been wide and he has been a member of the Building Planning Committee and the Constitution Committee and an observer to N.Z.U.S.A. Conference.

Among his objects to be fostered: fuller publicity of student activities and co-operation with the citizens of Wellington—a stable financial policy cutting out unnecessary expenditure and providing substantial club grants and travel subsidies for tournament and other teams; the provision of more student amenities including hastening a start on the new Student Union Building (and of course attention to smaller problems: the Common Rooms, etc.). He works for fuller participation by both full and part-time students in student activities.

With no political log to roll he believes the prime duty of Executive members to be the satisfactory administration of the normal affairs of the Association.

Nominator: K. B. O'Brien.

Whilst an executive member he had ample committee experience (finance, social, committee to investigate college clubs, licensing, and Undergrads Supper among others). Was associated with Extrav 1947-48 and was a collaborator on this year's highly entertaining script.
