Jim Milburn

Jim milburn has been active about V.U.C. since the war, though he was first here as a fresher in 1942. Since then he served 3 years in the forces, returned to T.C. in '46 where he was Drama Sec., Std. Op. editorial committee, and Tournament Exec. At V.U.C. he has been a member of the Exec. twice, and was unfortunate to miss out for secretary last year on the toss of the coin. Most prominent in the Debating Society, Jim has won the Plunket Medal, and twice been V.U.C. rep. for Joynt Scroll, being first placed speaker last year. Spoke against Aussies last year. Since '42, has completed a B.A. and is partially through L.I.B. is doing Honours in Pol. Sci. Has had wide experience in committee work, being on the Finance Committee, 1948; Licensing Sub Committee in 1948, Student Appeal Committee in the same year, H.Q. controller Easter Tournament 1949, Debating Society committee 1948-49, Secretary and President of that club.
