Salient. An Organ of Student Opinion at Victoria College, Wellington, N.Z. Executive Election Special Issue. Wednesday, June 22nd, 1949

June Scott

June Scott

In her third year, was for two years committee member of the Women's Basketball Club, playing in Tournament 1948 and 49. This, year she is an active member of Swimming Club, Drama Club, Literary Society and Social Committees, and of the Tennis Club. She hopes to finish BA this year.

June feels that affairs of the Stud. Assn. do not get enough publicity among the students, e.g.. organisation of sub-committees and tournament.

To prevent clubs becoming cliquey, she feels two years are ample for anyone to be on a committee. Is a firm believer in Congress and student exchange. She thinks that sporting clubs, if they get the support they should have, could lead Wellington sporting circles, but that cultural clubs must lead in Wellington cultural circles.
