Daphne Fletcher

Daphne, now in her fifth year at Varsity, is a full-time student studying for Master of Commerce. She is interested in the Drama Club and has been Treasurer since 1948. For the last three years she has been backstage with Extrav. assisting with the costuming and dressing. In the sporting field her main interest is in tramping and she has helped with the Memorial Hut. Daphne has no political affiliations but believes in mutual tolerance among the various shades of political opinion. She would like to see some Improvement in the College facilities for students and hopes that an early start will be made on the new Student Association Building. She favours closer unity between the University and the community and contact with other universities and students, such as the Australian Vacation Exchange Scheme.
