She is a member of the Catholic Students' Guild and a former committee member of the Table, Tennis Club. She takes an active interest in the musical affairs Of the College and is Convenor of the Music Committee which arranges concessions at local concerts. She has been associated with the last three Extravaganzas. Nell would like to see closer co-operation between the students of the four Colleges and is anxious to see the Building Fund Appeal go forward at the earliest opportunity.

Sue Ilott

An Arts student, Suzanne is doing Honours this year and holds the N.Z. University Senior Scholarship in Victoria at Tournaments in tennis 1946 and 1948, and hockey 1945-46. Last year she won the Debating Society's New Speakers Prize. She has been on the following club committees: tennis and SCM both in 1946 and 1947, hockey and philosophic society both in 1948. She was secretary of the Women's Gym Club in 1946. and of the Women's Hockey Club in 1947, and minute secretary at the NZU Tournament Committee meetings in 1947. In the long vacation last year she was a member of the party of students who visited Canadian, and American universities.

She stands for:—
"1.First and foremost sound and efficient administration of student affairs by the Executive.
"2.A concerted effort to win the Tournament shields.
"3.Improvements in student recreational facilities, particularly the new Student Union Building, and provision of further hostel accommodation."

Kath Langford

Kathleen is a third year Arts student and hopes to complete her B.A. this year. A co-opted member of the elected executive, she was returned to the Women's Committee of the Caretaker Exec. She takes an active interest in all branches of College life and was a committee member of SCM and was on the Billeting Committee of 1947 Tournament. Kathleen is running a bureau for part-time jobs for students and is Undergraduates Supper Controller for this year. Apart from a general policy for improving student facilities Kathleen will give active support for better student hostel accommodation, the Building Appeal Fund—and she is also keenly interested in the proposed University Student Congresses and the interchange of Australian and New Zealand students. She realizes the immediate necessity for closer staff-student co-operation and that student, representation on the Senate is essential for student control of student affairs.

Alison Pearce

Alison Pearce a full-time student, for three years doing B.A.. is now part-time doing Law. For the past three years she has been on the Women's Common Room Committee of which she is Convenor this year. She has always supported the Debating Society and is on the committee; has taken part in and helped with several Extravs.; is interested in the SCM.

She would like to see more students taking part in, Varsity affairs and thinks some action should be started to get them to support at least one club. She would also like to see the Building Fund given all support as success with this would mean a lot to the College—better indoor sporting facilities, the much needed Common Common Room and more opportunity for the Varsity to develop some life outside lecture rooms. She feels there should be more co-operation between staff and students.

Joan Robbins

Joan Robbins is a member of the present caretaker Exec.

A part-time Commerce student, she also takes keen interest in the sporting life of the College.

This year Secretary-Treasurer of the Women's Hockey Club, and past Treasurer, Joan has also for the past two years been team captain. She has represented Victoria at Winter Tournament in table tennis and hockey, and a member of the senior senior tennis team in that sport at Easter.

Interested in all other spheres of University life and in particular in support of the Students Association Building Fund: Joan also wants further action in the move for student representation on the Senate. She feels, too, that Victoria should do all in its power to ensure that Student Congress has every support from this College, and should make the initial meeting in Victoria area an outstanding success.
