[unclear: liman's] Right of Choice
[unclear: pvier],
[unclear: n] writing to comment on the article that [unclear: red] in last week's Salient entitled Abortion [unclear: d]. The article completely ignores a [unclear: In's] right to decide whether to have a child. Even if we have a society free from sexual [unclear: Inination], women must still have this right. [unclear: Ih] a society, the burden of an unwanted would be much lighter, but it would still Motherhood, even with adequate daycare [unclear: lies], socialised housework etc., would still the woman's life tremendously. Women [unclear: had] be allowed to make this decision themselves [unclear: s], after many years of struggle, they are allo- [unclear: decide] who, if and when they will marry.
[unclear: writer] of last week's article claims that [unclear: lien] have turned to the abuses of men as [unclear: cation] for abortion", and that "this [unclear: sof] revenge." This is absurd reasoning on [unclear: xounts.] Firstly it is not just because some [unclear: efuse] to shoulder half of the responsibility [unclear: enthood] that women want abortions. Even [unclear: the] father supported women's rights an [unclear: ued] child would still mean that one of would have to leave their job, and, unless were incredibly wealthy and could afford [unclear: sitters] every night and all weekend, their lifestyle would be changed. And what of [unclear: uple] who can't afford a child? How would [unclear: liber's] concern for women's rights help [unclear: a]
[unclear: oodly], many men support women's right to [unclear: on]. Do they take this stand in order to [unclear: h] the foetus for the abuses of men? I think
[unclear: Knen's] right to abortion is one of the central [unclear: nds] of the women's movement. Women [unclear: en] must fight for this right and/or the necessary conditions to allow women to in equal pan in society.
