Diet and Sport
Interestingly, there is no evidence to suggest that anything more than a normal diet, ie good food eaten in reasonable quantities, at mealtimes, is necessary for the hard-training sportsman/woman. In fact both research and our own experiences demonstrate that regular exercises will initially depress the appetite to a level where you eat what you need. Centre staff will advise you on diet and on Tuesday afternoon the Centre and the Health Service combine forces to help people with any kind of weight problems. (This does not include people having difficulty clean and jerking 100 kilos. But see Hugh Lawrence about that).

On the University Open Day, the Recreation Centre will be featuring the infamous mixed fitness class. This will happen on Friday May 25 at 4.00pm. Book that day at that time. More will be featured soon at the Centre about Open Day
